Forced to change plans by Boys!

As of Sunday night, I had a plan to be at work (Designotype) for part of the day, then run some errands in Houghton, but somewhere around bed-time, Roger and his buddies brought up the fishing subject. They suggested that I let them use the “Helm-n-Buoys” to fish at Big Traverse, but I thought it’d work out much better if I brought them… then I could do a little fishing myself. So much for my plans to work at Designo. Margaret was not surprised… I wonder why?

We tried the spinning rod method with jigs and gulp for an hour or so, with no luck so we switched to trolling the same area and picked up 5 lakers before Patrick called Roger to see if we could pick him up at the dock so he could join us. We fished for an hour of so after getting him with no more action… except for one lost fish, before 3 of us got dropped off at shore to go home. Roger and Pat went back out to be joined later by Josh A. They caught 2 more lakers before retuning home after dark.

Eating lots of fish lately and kids tired of it, so I tried a new recipe… “Lake Trout with Cheese Sauce” which most liked, but the little boys turned up their noses at. I guess I’ll be eating it for the next day or so for lunches. 😉
