Need New Ice Fishing Tent

I’m looking to buy a new ice fishing tent to replace my old and very small tent. I will use it for Lake Superior fishing for lake trout, coho salmon and possibly perch and herring when they are in the Keweenaw Bay, near Baraga. It has to fit 3 to 4 guys… or kids and have double wall thickness for warmth, plus black on the inside to maximize viewing through the hole in the ice. I don’t leave it on the ice, I pack it up and bing home each time, so it needs to be easily portable and have quick set-up so I can move to a different spot without too much trouble. It should be easy to set up with one person as sometimes I fish alone.

I’ll be fishing Copper Harbor for Splake and may try some of the inland lakes like Lac La Belle, lake Medora, Portage Lake and Torch Lake.

Northwoods Sporting Goods has several tents that I am considering (but not shown on their website). Does anyone have a good used one or any recommendations? Do you like to have a floor or keep a more open plan where you can drill holes anywhere? Lots of space to move around and stow your gear, or less space to make it easy to heat? Built in sled or drag your own?

I need to up-grade my heater also and looking at a Heat Buddy with 4000 to 9000 btu’s, but realize it may be a little too small for real cold weather?

Maybe I’ll even get over to Northern Minnesota for some walleye or pan-fishing. I found a good site with lots of info and videos here: http://fishingminnesota.com/top-stories/ice-fishing-walleyes-cold-front/ http://fishingminnesota.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/jm-ice-fishing-walleyes-cold-front-012613.jpg
