Lac La Belle fishing for Pike, Crappy and Small nmouth

Went fishing a little later this morning and feels like sleeping in. Pushed off at 8 am with a couple from lower Michigan and their college son who is attending Michigan Tech.
They wanted to fish Lac La Belle, then take a short ride on the “Big” lake just for the experience. The fishing was good inland, with more small mouth bass than they wanted to keep, plus one crappy and a northern pike.
We then fished for a short time on Lake Superior and picked up a bonus fish… a 3 lb lake trout, the first one ever for Mike.
Mike even got to experience filleting his first fish, and did a good job with it.
They will be having a nice fish fry tonight, as Mike is a self proclaimed chef. Enjoy those fish!
