A variety of species
Is always fun
Trolling Lake Superior
Before the bright sun.
At first we caught Splake
Then a Brown Trout
The fish were in shallow
And scattered about.
To find some Lake Trout
We had to go deep
Jigging the bottom
A bunch we did keep.
Later near shore
A Pike bit our bait
Then trolling the Belle
With just a short wait…
A Walleye came in
To our surprise
22 inches long
With big bulging eyes.
A Coaster Brook Trout
Was caught in the mix
On a planer and clip weight
From my bag of tricks.
I can’t forget
The other small fish
A squirmy Pink Salmon
Rounded off our list.
