Early in the season
I pull out a few Splake
From the Mendota Channel
And some from in the Lake (Superior)
Mid-summer Eagle Harbor
Is the port to fish
Where there’s Lake Trout in abundance
To fulfill your wish
At Stannard Rock it’s Lake Trout
Though Coho Salmon sometimes are there
And even an occasional Steelhead
If you fish with care
If you’re after Splake
Go to Copper Harbor
They’ll bite your baits in early spring
But mostly in October
In Bete Gris we troll
For Steelhead, Coho, Lake Trout
When the water temperatures are cold
We will lure the Browns out
Some clients want the Salmon
And others want the Trout
To others it doesn’t matter
They just want to get out
