Had a slow day with 2 printing shop workers from Mn this morning, one of which I took out into Bete Grise last summer. The threat of showers held off and the weather was really nice in spite of the fog on the lake.
Fished about 6 miles out on a temp break, but could not find anything near the surface…no floating debris, no seagulls… the east wind the last day or two messed up the fishing, but with a little westerly or southwesterly on Sunday, it will improve and return to good fishing on Monday.
Ended up with 3 lakers, 2 caught about 225 feet below the surface and the 3rd near the surface. Had one more hit that broke the line almost right away.
Can’t wait to get out there again next week. Confirmation tomorrow for Darlene, so no fishing until after that, perhaps in the evening?
