Today, we set out at 8 am from Lac La Belle on a long journey to see 7 lighthouses. Not much to write about, except I tried jigging for Lake Trout near Granite Island for 5 minutes and Huron Island for about 15 minutes, then trolled for 10 minutes near Bete Grise in a new area that I never fished before. The depth was right and there was little structure, so I tried it just to say I did. My sightseeing clients put up with my fishing without complaint, but I wish I had fished longer and caught a few.

The 150 mile cruise went very well, with nice, calm seas and a stop at Gull Rock Lighthouse, Manitou, Stannard Rock, Granite Island (Just north of Marquette), Big Bay Lighthouse and Huron Island Lighthouse. We stopped in at the dock there to make the short hike up to the Lighthouse and Darlene and I took a swim while there.
Sunday was spent with the family at church and at the fair.
Oh, Yes, and I found this nice spider at the Huron Lighthouse. The spread on his legs was the size of a pop can… about 3.5 inches from tip to tip! Tomorrow morning, we are back to fishing again on the “Fishin’ Mission, so I’ll report about that at a later date.
